The City
Health Officer formulates an integrated health program for the
city and directs the implementation and enforcement of health
laws, ordinances and such rules and regulations pertaining to
environmental sanitation and control of communicable diseases
and exercise general administrative supervision over all health
personnel.
ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION
Provides administrative support and services requirements of the
office; performs all aspect of administrative work as required.
MEDICAL
STAFF
Attends to the medical and basic needs of the population of 98
barangays in the city as well as treatment of patients.
MIDWIFERY
SERVICES
Takes charge of the activities of health Centers in the absence
of nurses. Conducts pre-natal, post-natal and family planning
clinics in the different health centers. Assist Medical Officers
in the implementation of the Primary Health Program.
DENTAL
UNIT
Provides dental services to all the population of the 908
barangays in the city.
NURSING
SERVICES
Responsible for the operations of the health centers; conducts
family development counseling, nutrition campaign, performs
simple clinical procedures and follow-up cases of treatment of
patients and conduct health education classes/sessions.
SANITATION
SERVICES
Responsible for the enforcement of sanitary laws and
regulations. Conducts inspection of food establishment, grocery
mart and eateries to check compliance of hygiene and sanitation
rules. Conducts environmental sanitation work such as
determination of whether water supply is fit for consumption,
proper disposal of waste and checks Malaria cases thru house
visitation.
CLINICAL
LABORATORY AND ALLIED SERVICES
Performs laboratory work such as water analysis, hematology,
serology and blood typing, stool and urine examination, grams
staining, microscopic and bacteriological examination, pregnancy
test, sperm and amoebaiases and malaria examination. Assist in
other medical health projects in the different communities. |
