The City
Social Welfare & Development Office shall administer and
supervise the social services of the city and execute/enforce
all laws and ordinances relating to social services. Coordinates
with and assist private sectors, government agencies and other
civic organization; in the implementation of welfare and relief
programs or activities, nutrition and day care, population
development and livelihood project, housing and urban poor
development and services.
ADMINISTRATIVE PLANNING & PROGRAMMING DIVISION
Provides administrative support and services requirements of the
office; performs all aspect of administrative work as required.
NUTRITION
DIVISION
Directs the implementation of all activities and programs of the
City Nutrition Council; coordinates with barangay leaders on
basic nutrition project of the community, supervises the
barangay nutrition work; and prepares and submits reports on the
nutrition activities and accomplishment.
COMMUNITY
ACTION SERVICES DIVISION
Provides emergency relief assistance to victims of calamities
and diseases and extends special services for the orphaned,
neglected, disabled, abandoned and/or the displaced persons.
WELFARE
AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Plans and directs the implementation of welfare program for por
government-assisted families thru income-generated projects;
coordinates with government agencies of providing skills
development and job placement. |
